Hollywood Brown Could be Traded in the Coming Weeks

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Hollywood Brown is a name that NFL teams seeking receiver help think could be traded in the coming weeks, sources told Jordan Schultz. Brown is currently healthy, has a 1,000-yard season on his resume, and recorded 49 catches for 587 yards and five touchdowns with the Kansas City Chiefs last year. The 29-year-old former 25th overall pick by the Baltimore Ravens in 2019 from Oklahoma has not had much of an opportunity in an Eagles offense that has been among the worst in the league through the first six weeks. To make matters worse, the Eagles lost starting quarterback Jalen Hurts for the rest of the 2026 season due to blood clots. Brown was only active in the Week 2 win over the Tennessee Titans, but he was not targeted at all in the passing game while seeing two carries for 12 yards. With Hurts done for the year, Brown is not going to be attractive at all in fantasy football unless he is traded away from the Eagles in 2026.

Hollywood Brown's Fantasy Stock Takes a Hit

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Hollywood Brown was active for the season opener and never got on the field. DeVonta Smith played 52 offensive snaps, Dontayvion Wicks 50, rookie Makai Lemon 35, and Darius Cooper eight. Brown played zero. Nick Sirianni said afterward that Philadelphia wants to get him involved and that the receiver rotation simply never got there in Week 1. Brown said he was surprised and hadn't been told beforehand that he wouldn't play. That makes this more than an empty box score. Whatever the exact plan was, four Eagles wide receivers saw the field before Brown did. Sirianni's comments leave room for that to change quickly, but there is no way around what Week 1 showed. Brown needs snaps before targets can even become part of the fantasy discussion. For now, going from a potential complementary piece to no offensive role at all is a major hit to his stock.

Hollywood Brown's Role Unclear Entering 2026

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Hollywood Brown is not expected to have a major role in the 2026 season. Brown had 49 receptions for 587 yards and five touchdowns in 16 games last season with the Kansas City Chiefs. The former first-round pick signed a one-year, $5 million contract with the Eagles this season, with expectations that he could be the second-string receiver behind DeVonta Smith. However, the additions of Dontayvion Wicks and Makai Lemon affect Brown's fantasy value, as both receivers are expected to play major roles this season. Second-year wideout Darius Cooper has been a standout at training camp and has garnered praise from quarterback Jalen Hurts. At best, Brown will be the WR4 in Philadelphia's run-heavy offense. While the name still carries some fantasy value, Brown is unlikely to produce this season.
