Jacoby Brissett Not A Good Option Against Broncos

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Jacoby Brissett had another poor showing last week in what has been an up-and-down season thus far. Facing the Rams in Week 6, Brissett was held to 218 passing yards, threw an interception in his third straight game, and failed to throw a touchdown pass for the first time this season. His matchup against the Broncos in Week 7 won't be much easier. Denver has held opposing quarterbacks to fewer than 200 passing yards in three of their six games this season, and their seven interceptions are tied for second-most in the league. In his three best games of 2026, Brissett averaged 283 passing yards and two touchdowns. In his three worst, he has 159.7 passing yards, one touchdown, and 1.67 picks per game. Brissett's upcoming matchup is more likely to join the latter group based on the matchup. He is a desperation starter only in deep two-QB leagues in Week 7.

Jacoby Brissett a Drop Candidate Unlikely to Recapture His 2025 Magic

Despite leading his team to an upset victory over the divisional rival Los Angeles Rams in Week 6, Arizona Cardinals quarterback Jacoby Brissett has been unable to recapture the fantasy magic that made him a league-winner after taking over the starting job midway through the 2025 season. Through six games, Brissett has reached 17 fantasy points only twice and currently ranks as the QB22 by points per game, making him little more than a desperation play in superflex formats and an easy drop candidate in single-quarterback leagues. Despite wins over both Los Angeles teams, the Cardinals sit at 2-4, and it should surprise nobody if, at some point, the team looks to find out what it has in 2026 third-round pick Carson Beck.

Jacoby Brissett A Superflex Option Despite Tough Matchup

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Jacoby Brissett threw for a season-high 292 yards and three touchdowns last week. Trailing for most of the game, Brissett threw 47 passes (completing 29) in the lopsided loss to the Detroit Lions. It was a high point on a roller coaster season for Brissett, who has averaged 283 yards per game in three weeks but has a combined 261 in his other two. As 12.5-point underdogs against the Rams in Week 6, Arizona can be expected to lean heavily into the pass once again. The Rams' defense will present a much greater challenge than the Lions' did in Week 5, though. Los Angeles has not allowed more than 215 passing yards in a game thus far in 2026. Brissett's relentlessness (he ranks fourth in pass attempts per game with 39.8) keeps him in the running as a qualified streamer in two-QB leagues in Week 6.
