Recent Games
Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson is likely better left out of starting lineups for his team's Week 7 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles. He hasn't scored a touchdown since Week 3, hasn't scored double-digit PPR fantasy points in Week 2, is a low-volume receiving player, and has been entirely dependent on multi-touchdown games for fantasy relevance this season. Dallas has struggled to move the ball at times, and Ferguson has not been a big part of the game plan all season. He has just two games with five or more targets, which isn't a recipe for fantasy football success. Most of Dallas' passing offense now flows through wide receivers CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens, and it's not unreasonable to expect contests where each have double-digit targets. That doesn't leave a lot of room left over for the other pass-catchers, especially as WR Ryan Flournoy and RB Javonte Williams each get a few per game. Touchdown receptions are difficult to predict. Fantasy managers should look elsewhere for a starting TE for Week 7.
Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson hauled in two of three targets for 13 yards in the 23-13 loss to the Green Bay Packers. After two drops, one resulting in an INT, in Week 5, the Cowboys rotated tight ends more often against the Packers. Ferguson played a season-low 62% of snaps and ran 55% of routes on Sunday. With Ferguson phased out, Brevyn Spann-Ford played a season-high 46% of snaps and had four receptions on five targets for 35 yards in Week 6. With wide receivers CeeDee Lamb, George Pickens, and Ryan Flournoy as the top three targets in this offense, there's little room left for Ferguson, who has struggled in 2026. Fantasy managers can safely drop the Cowboys tight end, as there are much better options on the waiver wire.
Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson hasn't been a big part of his team's passing game this season, but he'll look to turn things around in Week 6 against the Green Bay Packers. Though he's caught three touchdowns in five games this season, he's made a series of crucial mistakes, including losing a key fumble in Week 3 and failing to catch a close-loss pass that ended up as an interception in Week 5. Both games ended in one-score losses. It would probably serve Dallas well to ease back on Ferguson's targets and start getting the ball to WR Ryan Flournoy more; he's shown excellent flashes of talent, and his film is impressive. Ferguson has plenty of mistakes to clean up and limited upside, as he's averaging just 20.4 receiving yards per game. The opposing Green Bay Packers, who Dallas will face in Week 6, are bottom-10 in fantasy points allowed to opposing tight ends this season. Fantasy managers outside of dynasty leagues may want to look elsewhere for a starting TE this week.
