Rashod Bateman a Bench Stash Against the Bengals

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Rashod Bateman (shoulder) logged two full practices in a row and is good to go for Week 7 against the Cincinnati Bengals. Bateman has had two good games and four quiet games so far this season, and has been mostly dependent on injuries to his fellow receivers to get more opportunity. His best game of the season came in Week 2 when Zay Flowers was out, putting up seven catches for 88 yards and a touchdown against the New Orleans Saints. He also managed five receptions for 62 yards in Week 5, but with rookie Ja'Kobi Lane getting eased into the lineup after returning from injury, Bateman played just 30% of snaps last week. While a Lamar Jackson return does boost his value, he is simply not reliable enough to be in fantasy lineups. Unless you are in a very deep league banking on a huge Lamar passing game, Bateman is best left on fantasy benches in Week 7.

Rashod Bateman "Should be OK"

Baltimore Ravens head coach Jesse Minter said that wide receiver Rashod Bateman (shoulder) was dealing with a shoulder issue throughout Sunday's Week 6 loss to the division-rival Cleveland Browns, but he came out of it OK, according to Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic. "There's a little bit of optimism that he should be OK," Minter said. Bateman will most likely be on the team's Week 7 injury report and could be limited in practice throughout the week, but it seems like he has a good shot at playing in the team's next game on Sunday, Oct. 25, in a big divisional showdown against the Cincinnati Bengals. The 26-year-old caught five of his six targets for 62 yards in the Sunday night win over the Atlanta Falcons in Week 5 but failed to bring in his only target on Sunday in the loss to the Browns before he departed in the second quarter with a shoulder injury. It looks as though Bateman avoided a serious injury, and he might not have to miss any time at all, but the return of talented rookie Ja'Kobi Lane from Injured Reserve will be the biggest obstacle to consistent production from Bateman moving forward. Lane caught four of five targets for 40 yards in Week 6 in just his second NFL regular-season game.

Rashod Bateman Ruled Out With Shoulder Injury

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Rashod Bateman (shoulder) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's Week 6 matchup against the Cleveland Browns, according to an announcement from the team. Bateman was initially considered questionable to return but will finish the afternoon without a reception on one target. The 26-year-old had been dealing with a shoulder issue throughout the practice week, missing Thursday's session before returning as a full participant Friday and entering Sunday's contest without an injury designation. With Lamar Jackson (ankle) already sidelined, Tyler Huntley will continue operating Baltimore's offense without one of his receiving options. Zay Flowers, Ja'Kobi Lane, and Devontez Walker will see additional opportunities in Bateman's absence.
