Mo Bamba Stats, Advanced Metrics & Fantasy Rankings

Free-agent center Mo Bamba agreed to a two-year deal to return to the Utah Jazz, according to ESPN's Shams Charania. Bamba appeared in four NBA games last season between Toronto and Utah, averaging 2.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 0.3 assists, but he was more productive with the Salt Lake City Stars at 16.2 points, 12.0 rebounds, and 2.0 blocks per game. The 28-year-old gives Utah another rim-protecting depth option behind Jusuf Nurkic. Bamba's blocks remain the fantasy hook, but he needs a real rotation role before becoming more than an injury-dependent streamer.

Utah Jazz center Mo Bamba signed a second 10-day deal with the team Sunday after showing enough during his initial stint to remain with the club. The former lottery pick appeared in two games earlier this week, producing four points, eight rebounds, and two blocks in 21 minutes against Philadelphia before adding six points and 12 rebounds in 17 minutes versus Washington. Bamba provides depth behind second-year center Kyle Filipowski and veteran Kevin Love, though his role remains inconsistent after a DNP on March 7. For fantasy managers, Bamba is difficult to trust outside of deep leagues unless Utah expands his minutes.

Philadelphia 76ers center Mo Bamba (illness) is in danger of missing a third consecutive contest on Saturday against the Grizzlies. He's been under the weather lately, and the team has listed him as questionable for Saturday's game. Bamba's absence opens up playing time for Paul Reed, although his fantasy value is limited with Joel Embiid (knee) back in the lineup. However, Saturday marks the start of a back-to-back for Philadelphia, which could bring a rest day for Embiid this weekend. The reigning MVP is officially regarded as questionable for Saturday.
