The Utah Jazz have claimed center Tony Bradley off waivers, according to ESPN's Shams Charania. Bradley returns to the franchise where he spent his first three NBA seasons after averaging 5.3 points and 1.7 rebounds in limited preseason work with New York. The 28-year-old joins Utah on a non-guaranteed deal and adds depth while Jusuf Nurkic (foot) and Kyle Filipowski (back) are sidelined. Jaxson Hayes should see more center minutes early, with Jaren Jackson Jr. also capable of sliding to the five. Bradley owns career averages of 4.3 points and 3.8 rebounds and remains off the fantasy radar unless injuries push him into the rotation.
Free-agent center Tony Bradley is on the New York Knicks' radar ahead of training camp, according to SNY's Ian Begley. The 28-year-old split last season between Indiana and Atlanta, averaging 4.0 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 0.5 assists in 11.0 minutes across 41 games. New York has been without a traditional third center since Mitchell Robinson left for Boston and Ariel Hukporti signed with Philadelphia, leaving Karl-Anthony Towns and Andre Drummond as the main bigs on the depth chart. Bradley would not be a fantasy factor if signed, but he would give Mike Brown another body for camp and foul-trouble insurance behind Towns. The only fantasy ripple would be a slight hit to Drummond's spot-start appeal if New York adds another veteran center.
Indiana Pacers center Tony Bradley (thumb) will be active on Saturday against the New Orleans Pelicans. The 27-year-old big man is dealing with a fractured thumb and was initially listed as questionable for Saturday's matchup. Bradley is not expected to have a significant role against New Orleans, as Indiana tends to rely on Jay Huff and Isaiah Jackson at center. The two have a very favorable matchup on Saturday, as the Pelicans have one of the league's weakest defenses against centers and give up the seventh-most rebounds to the position.
